SQ 794 Supporters Gather to Tell Their Stories
We appreciate our supporters throughout Oklahoma who recently gathered to explain why they support State Question 794. Soon we will release their videos, but here is a behind-the-scenes look.
Victims of crime, and their families, talked about how the reforms in SQ 794 would have resulted in an improved experience with the criminal justice system. The current process only allows victims to have a limited voice in courtroom proceedings and plea deals. In some cases, they don't even receive basic notification about charges filed or bail for the accused.
SQ 794 would give crime victims and their families the resources they deserve. It develops a support system for the victims and their families to ensure they are seen as people and not a docket number.
